Wolfgang Hochleitner is a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Digital Media and the research groups Web Intelligence and Innovation Laboratory (WIN) and Playful Interactive Environments (PIE).
He teaches the fundamentals of client-side web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and server-side backend development (PHP). In computer games, he is involved in teaching the fundamentals of game design and game production.
His research focus is on the area of co-located large public display games. His ongoing dissertation project describes a framework for describing playful experiences in a large public display context.
Wolfgang is actively involved in the application and implementation of funded research projects. In all of this, web technologies play a central role.
