
Jeremiah Diephuis, BA MA
Jeremiah Diephuis grew up in the great arcades of the American Midwest. After studies in computational linguistics and communication and knowledge media, he developed his research focus of utilising game-based approaches for various purposes in public contexts. He currently works as a lecturer and researcher in the Digital Media department at the Hagenberg Campus of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. In 2014, he co-founded the research group “Playful interactive Environments” which focuses on the development of playful technologies for learning, communication and industry applications. He has received regional, national and international funding to develop games and game-based approaches for urban development processes, sustainable food production, encouraging civil courage, developing web-based game-creation tools for kids and brainstorming processes, as well as various industry-related projects connected to Augmented and Virtual Reality.
