DI Christian Volker was interested in the synthesis of computers and art and art installations from an early age. After studying physics, several years as a university assistant at the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz as well as at the Johannes Kepler University Linz and after being employed as deputy head of the Ars Electronica Futurelabs, he moved to the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria Campus Hagenberg. In his teaching, he primarily focuses on the imparting of sound, technical foundations of modern media. This includes in particular the scientific foundations of media technology, algorithm theory as well as programming languages and system and network programming. His research focuses on system programming on unixoidal operating systems, Internet of Things and network frameworks. In this context, he has been actively developing the network framework “SNode.C” for more than two years, which is fully implemented in C++ based on the API of “Node.JS.”
